Is it May or January?

Well, almost all of the snow has melted around East Glacier Park.  Historically I've had as much as 4-5 feet on the ground this time of year and I'd surly not be going out side without a coat . . .  not this year though.   It's 45 today, light winds and I dont think it's hardly froze here in over a week.

This weekend the winds kicked up to 70mph and that helped to melt a lot of snow, it does not take long to melt snow when it's above freezing and the wind is blowing 70 mph.  I managed to get out knowing that due to the warmer weather there would be more colorful sun rises, and I was right.  Here's a shot of chief mountain taken from canada.

Have a great week!

Excellent shot. I have to get my wife to Glacier, she has never been there. I have 5 times, 2 times hitching 1 with a buddy and parents vacations. LOVE the area. Did a lot of back packing.
