Spring, What Spring?

Well, on the bright side the ponds are filling with water for the first time in 8 years, but at the expense of anything growing. Water on most area ponds thawed after a few days of 40 and 50 degree weather, but since last Friday we're back in our February weather patterns with lows dipping below zero, snow in the inches, and wind!

Today I woke to 12 degrees, wind and heavy snow. The wood pile is looking lean, and forecast is for more cool temps and snow. I love it!

I was told that some of the Glacier Park Inc. people are showing up for work, I'll bet most are surprised to find that it still is winter here. If it were not for all the birds that have returned you would think it was February. As of this morning, all the ponds are frozen and there are no longer even geese in site! I wonder where they went?

Take care,

Tony

Same here in Washington. A co-worker reported to us that there's over 27 feet of snow piled up on Chinook Pass just east of Mt. Rainier.
